Citizen Science for Health conference!

Sunday 29 October – Wednesday 1 November 2023
Location: University of Twente, the Netherlands

We are looking forward to welcome you all - researchers, students, policy makers, citizens, societal organizations and companies but also interested public - to discuss, open minds and inspire collaborations around citizen science for health.

We will do this by going beyond a traditional conference set-up and embracing an interactive character. Besides keynote lectures by renowned experts and practitioners in citizen science and participative research in the fields of personal medicine, ethics, and public health, we will open the stage through Workshops, Solution rooms, Posters, and Showcases (see more details on the formats and topics here).

The engagement of patients in health research has a long tradition, even though their impact on e.g. decision making on research questions, methodology, ethics, analysis and data management remain limited so far. Citizen Science and the involvement of patients in health research have a huge potential to contribute to innovative health research, as well as to society. Join us to shape this innovation!

Organised in collaboration with:
The conference will be organized in close cooperation with University of Twente's TechMed Centre, as part of the MedTech Twente Week 2023. The event is initiated by the Working group Citizen Science for Health of the European Citizen Science Association (ECSA).
